This lovely stoneware pottery sgraffito yarn bowl was hand thrown on a wheel then carved with monarch butterflies and leaves. Color was hand painted on the butterflies and leaves. The piece was then bisque fired. Glaze was added to the inside and fired again. The outside of the piece is unglazed. It is only glazed on the inside. The outside is carved with monarch butterflies flying on a windy day along the trees. The bowl measures approx. 7” across x 3 3/8” deep. This is a one of a kind piece of useable art.
