This ceramic art tile depicts Pond Life. There are cattails, flowering lily pads and dragonflies. The technique I used to make the design is sgraffito. After carving all the details I bisque fired the tile. After the bisque I glazed the piece and it was fired again. I put it in this beautiful hard wood frame that was made especially for and to match this tile. This piece is signed by me. The tile itself measures approx. 6 1/4" x 10 1/2". Total measurements framed are approx. 11" x 15 1/4" x 1" deep. This is a one of a kind piece. Each tile I make is different. I don't make an original that I cast others from. Each tile I make is the original and one of a kind.
