This wonderful garden sundial totem pole has many different creatures that you will find around and near ponds. There are butterflies, fish, cattails, a snail, frog, purple sunflower, turtle and honey bees. Collectively they symbolize peace, creativity, emotional cleansing, patience, transformation, majesty, rebirth, mother earth, personal power and community. The large butterfly near the bottom is a black swallowtail on one side and an eastern tiger swallowtail on the other side. Each piece was hand sculpted and carved with love, bisque fired, hand glazed and fired again. The pieces stack on a steel pole which is embedded in a concrete base and is covered with foam pipe insulation. There are large silicone washers that sit between each piece. The concrete base is decorated with glass beads by Nicole Marie Artistry. I purchased the brass finished dragonfly sundial to complete the top of the piece. This sundial can be out in the elements but I recommend putting it inside or covering during winter months. This is a substantial heavy piece that won't blow over in normal winds. Each piece lifts off the concrete base to make storing or moving easier. The sundial measures approx. 33 1/2" tall x 15" across top.
